Caohejing has launched a high-tech park in Haining, Zhejiang province, which covers an area of 15 square kilometers, to develop advanced manufacturing industries and modern services.

An area of five square kilometers will be developed as its first phase for industries of electronic information, new energy, new materials, biomedicine, equipment manufacture as well as modern services, said a senior manager from the Caohejing High-Tech Park Development Corporation.
The park will be developed and managed by a newly-established company funded by Caohejing and the Haining Economic Development Zone.
``It is part of the strategy carried out by Caohejing to set up its Haining Park in a response to the call made by the Shanghai municipal government to streamline the city's industrial layout and upgrade its industries,'' said the manager.
``It is also our practice to implement what the State has required to innovate ways of investment and co-operation.''
Haining government officials said setting up such a park by co-operating with Caohejing is a firm measure to carry out the innovation strategy set by the provincial government.
``The project is a platform to connect Haining with Shanghai closely and able to further push forward its industrial restructure,'' said a senior official from the Haining city government.

The State Council issued a document last year to call on the probe into two-win financial policies and the possibility of setting up development zones by joint effort.
Insiders said what Caohejing has done has provided a new chance not only for Haining to connect it with Shanghai but also for Shanghai to transfer its industries and management technology.
Haining spend one year completing all the preparations for the launch of the project, laying a solid foundation for its future development.
Both sides will co-operate to push forward the park's planning, development and management by using Caohejing's successful experiences and customer resources.
``The purpose is to turn the Haining park into an industrial base in the Yangtze Delta region, making contributions to the economic development of Shanghai and Zhejiang province,'' said the Caohejing manager.
As a high-tech park, Caohejing focuses on industries of information, new materials, biomedicine, aviation and aerospace. Its sales amounted to 160.3 billion yuan last year, becoming top of China's more than 50 State-level economic and technological zones.
It has set up a high-tech park in Shanghai's Pujiang Town and new zones in its Lingang, Xinqiao, Jiuting and Kangqiao.
